Carnival connects Houstonians with Jewish homeland
Braving the 90 degree afternoon heat on May 8, hundreds of children of all ages, and their families, celebrated the 60th anniversary of modern Israeli statehood at a community-wide Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israel Independence Day) carnival at the Jewish Community Center of Houston’s Merfish Teen Center.
